Scotland released a terrorist from their prison system today. This terrorist known as Abdel Basset Ali al-Megrahi was responsible for the deaths of 189 American citizens of his life sentence he spent only 8 years. of a 27 year sentence. He was released supposedly on humanitarian reason. All Golfers who are planning a vacation to Scotland to play golf, should cancel their plans as a protest against Scotland.

And all professional golfers should boycott next years British Open, because it is being held at St. Andrews.

We were told the murderer of innocent women and children would die a natural death in 3 months from his release. This becomes quite simple, if he is still alive 30 days before the British Open a boycott is fully in order.

Few sports have embraced the tragedy of cancer like golf. For years I have warned that the mix of entertainment and grief may someday lead to its own tragic result. Well people now we have it in the form of a society believing that dying of cancer is so tragic and painful that it requires the release of a murderer of innocent women and children. My friends, cancer has jumped the shark.

I agree with those to a certain extent in this forum. However, me being a former military man myself I should think that this murdered should be drawn and quartered, However boycotting a good golf game should not be thrown into the political arena.  Golf as we know it has its own political agenda at times. Pro golfers are not going to get mixed in BS when we have a group of idiots that do such things already. (ie: government bureaucrats)

Pepper,

I have been boycotting Scotch since the release of the murderer. The world has provided a fine selection of Kentucky bourbons saving me a bit a money in the process. A moral path will lead one to an affordable buzz.

I love the British Open and do hope and pray this pitiful man dies before I am forced to work on those glorious mornings I spend each year at work watching my favorite tournament, which will be on the finest course this year, in the world. Even if this is my fate I am sure some good will come from a good days work.

Did the golfing "power that be" have any say in the regards to setting this man free?

Boycotting the Open Championship seems impossible.  Scotch on the other hand is much more feasible.
